ABAM meetings provide an excellent opportunity not only for an international clinical exchange of knowledge but for discussion of the current socioeconomic conditions and how they affect plastic surgery communities in the United States, Brazil and the rest of the world. It serves also as a new forum for residents, fellows and colleagues in private practice from around the world to present their innovative work in the United States & Brazil with possible publication in the ISAPS and other Scientific Journals. This will be the first Plastic Surgery Meeting of the Brazilian and American calendars. It offers no conflict with any other meeting on either continent.
